Master Chef Part 2

More groups were involved in cooking today - we saw some fabulous dishes presented. These dishes were put in the Staff Room for taste testing and presentation - and it was decided by unbiased (and hungry) judges that the Venison patties were the best presented and the Satay Chicken and Rice was the tastiest dish.

I tried them all - the Nachos were delicious, the Chow Mein very tasty, the Venison patties were flavoursome and the Satay Chicken had just the right amount of zing! Well done to you all!!!

The Next Master Chef!

Room 5 and 6 have been getting into some cooking over the past couple of weeks, with more to come tomorrow. We have been taking part in the Maggi Pop Up Kitchen campaign and I am impressed with the enthusiasm (and clean hands!) of our mini chefs. We have had the most amazing dishes presented including a delicious chicken and couscous salad, venison cooked to perfection, duck, cottage pie and burgers that would make local restaurants and cafes proud!!! We have the last of the cooking tomorrow and then the photos and recipes are uploaded to Maggi and the voting begins. We will post the link when it is live! Meanwhile....enjoy the beautiful creations of Room 5 and 6!

H20 Photography Competition

Room 6 have entered a number of photographs into the H20 Photography Competition. All photographs had to have a water based theme, and the science behind it. As it was a cold, frosty morning at school, many students took photos of this and their science related write-up was based on the dew point and forming of frost.

I am impressed with some of these photographs! This is an avenue some of Room 6 really should pursue!

Running Off to Join the Circus

Today we were very lucky to have two awesome circus performers, Debbie and Connor, come to Rosebank School to entertain us, share their knowledge and teach us some "tricks" during a circus lesson! We had 30 students learning to juggle scarfs, moving on to spinning plates and then using the juggling sticks. What a fantastic opportunity this was! There was a lot of laughing, huge smiles and claps and cheers as many students experienced success.

We have many Room 6 students now wanting to join the Circus!! It would be a good time to lock up your good kitchen plates :)
